The Vial Saves Lives
The Vial of Life is a program to assist emergency responders in identifying key information about a patient who may not be able to speak for themselves. The form includes information including medical history, medications, emergency contacts and other information that can help medical personnel better diagnose and treat a medical condition when responding to an emergency.
The Vial of Life is especially important for at-risk patients including:
- Those with chronic illness
- The elderly
- Children
- People with allergies
- People taking a lot of medication
